If you have to trust the hearsay, a liter or a toned down version of Google Pixel 3 and Pixel 3XL are soon going to be launched in India. Speculations suggest that they are going to be called as Google Pixel 3 Lite and Pixel 3 XL Lite. It was just previous year when Google had launched its forerunner smartphones with phenomenal camera abilities.
The Lite Conjectures:
Google yet has not confirmed about any such launch plans, but some of the model numbers of the conjectured Lite series have surfaced online. A report claims that Pixel 3 Lite holds the model number G020B whereas the Pixel 3 XL Lite holds the model number G020F. The report even conveys that Foxconn,a Taiwanese electronics manufacturer, is all set to manufacture these smartphones. It further adds that the impending mid-range smartphones will be launched in the Indian market very soon. Particulars regarding the exact launch and dates are yet not confirmed. The phones are not going to be manufactured in India. They arepredicted to be manufactured in China and later imported in India. This will result in a significant surge in the cost of these phones when they arrive in India. A little birdie suggests the pricing to be below INR 40,000 which is approximately$559. This has surpassed the price of mobile hulks like Honor View 20 and OnePlus 6T.
Under the Hood:
Reports suggest that Google Pixel 3 Lite is codenamed as ‘Sargo’ while Pixel 3 XL Lite is codenamed as ‘Bonito’. They are said to be equipped with the latest operating system which is Android 9 Pie. Also,the Pixel 3 Lite and Pixel 3 XL Lite is expected to feature displays having 19:9 aspect ratio, which is optimal for high-resolution video playback. Pixel 3XL lite will supposedly sport a 6 inch screen while the Google Pixel 3 L lite will sport a little smaller screen than its counterpart, which could be about 5.5 inches.
Talking about the mechanism part both the counterparts will possess a 4 GB RAM. The internal storage of Google Pixel 3 Lite could be 32GB powered by 2,915 mAh battery while the XL variant will supposedly score slightly high in terms battery and internal storage. Both Google Pixel 3 Lite and 3XL Lite will be fueled by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 845 chipset, as per the latest specs.The phones are also likely to retain the 3.5mm headphone jack. Coming to the camera, both the variants could possess almost similar camera quality with 12 mega pixel rear camera and an 8 mega pixel front camera. They are expected to click pictures of same quality as that of the standard version.
With the numerous speculations going on, the market in India including the competitors of Google are eyeing the launch of these ‘Lite’ variants of Google’s flagship smartphones.
