Aamir Khan has turned 53 this morning. Mohammed Aamir Hussain Khan a.k.a. Aamir Khan born on 14th March, 1965 is an Indian film actor, producer, director and television talk show host. He is fondly known as ‘Mr. Perfectionist’ as he loves doing everything right in his own way. He made his film debut from his uncle, Nasir Hussain’s film, Yaadon Ki Baaraa in 1973. He releases one movie in a year and puts in all his efforts and dedication in a single project. Some of his popular movies are Qyamat se Qyamat Tak, Raja Hindustani, Ishq, PK, Dangal, 3 idiots, Lagaan, Dhoom3 and many more.
Unlike any other celebrity he is a person who maintains a healthy distance from controversies but somehow he is landed into one and more. Despite having an image of a teacher, an inspiration and our favourite Mr.Perfectionist, controversies have made him look a traitor too. Success does not come to him as easy as it seems to be. His bold and fearless opinions always grab the eyeballs of the media and the public. He is one of the newsmakers from the bollywood industry, which mostly leads him to some of the raging controversies of the nation.
He is a person who speaks less and works more but whenever he speaks it turns out to be the juiciest controversy of the town at least for a month.
Here is the list of some famous controversies Aamir Khan landed in because of his bold and outspoken nature:

1. Amir Khan’s Intolerance remark

Aamir Khan’s comment on rising intolerance in India was no less than a forest fire. In a conference he said that his wife Kiran Rao feels unsafe in the country and wants to leave the country with the family. His remark gained politicians attention and was slammed for being ungrateful to his mother nation. As a consequence, he was soon removed as the brand ambassador of the ‘Incredible India’ campaign by the government and from Snapdeal by TATA group. Later, he said that he loves and respect his country and has no intentions to leave his motherland.

2. “Shah Rukh licked my feet”

Not literally though! Aamir Khan who does not like much attending award shows or giving any public appearance has a sarcastic side to him. Shahrukh Khan and Aamir were not in talking terms for quite a long time when Aamir made a nasty remark which definitely did not go well with the Badshaah of the Bollywood. He said “Shahrukh is licking my feet and I am feeding him biscuits every now and then. What more can I ask for? Now, before you jump to any conclusions let me add that Shahrukh is the name of our dog.”

3. Aamir illegitimate son JAAN

As per the sources, during the making of Ghulam, Aamir was in a live-in relationship with a British journalist, Jessica Heins who then got pregnant. Aamir then decided to end the relationship and refused to accept the child, Jessica, a single-mother is staying with his only son, Jaan back in London.

4. Brother Faisal Khan’s custody controversy

When family matters come out in the public, things get little awful. Brother Faisal Khan, together seen in the movie, Mela, accused Aamir of keeping him mercilessly grounded and giving him wrong medications to prove him (faisal) mentally ill. Aamir and his father, Tahir, filed an application with the court seeking his(Faisal) custody. Aamir Khan won the case by receiving his brother’s custody.

5. Reena Dutt divorce

Aamir was again in the limelight, when his wife Reena Dutt filed divorce application in 2002. Soon they both parted their ways with mutual understanding and Aamir Khan was once again in love with Kiran Rao during the making of Lagaan which finally resulted in the two getting married.

6. PK

One of the most eye-catching controversies related to Aamir Khan was the poster of his movie, PK where he is shown covering his modesty with a transistor. Many NGO’s protested against it until the court intervened and gave it a go ahead. But, that’s not it, theatres having PK posters were vandalised, as the movie was believed to hurt the sentiments of a particular religion.

7. Dangal in Pakistan

Post Uri (Jammu and Kashmir) attacks in September; its consequence was faced by Aamir Khan’s then upcoming movie Dangal. Pakistan officials said that the movie will not be released along with the India’s National Anthem. In response to which Aamir refused to get his movie released there without our National Anthem.

Amidst all these controversies, Aamir Khan is undoubtedly one of the finest actors in the film industry today. He believes in following his own rules and is also ruling over the hearts of millions. He is the only actor who never fails to surprise us with his unique look, storyline and acting skills every year.
