One of the most popular, dazzling and an unconventional actress, Rani Mukerjee is all set to make her comeback from her upcoming movie, Hichki. She is back on big screen after a hiatus of four long years post-marriage.
She has been one of those actresses who hate being surrounded by controversies. Unlike many other actresses she never hesitated in doing small or second lead roles. She is among some those few actresses who got a chance to work with all three Khan’s of the bollywood. But she has always been known for her individualistic and bold personality. Some of her iconic movies include Mardaani, Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, Chori Chori Chupke Chupke, Saathiya, Hum Tum, Yuva, Veer Zaara and the list is endless.
She, despite of her small roles in the movies have always managed to have an impact on the minds of the audience with her unique voice, charismatic personality and of course amazing acting skills. Do you know, in the early years of her career, a dubbed voice was used in place of her own voice. It was in the movie Ghulam, when for the first time her original voice was used within the movie.
Looking at the history of the actresses who made their comeback after their marriage and motherhood, the success of Rani’s upcoming film is gloomy. Well, of course we don’t hope the same for her. But have you ever wondered why it is so difficult for the female actors to make their comeback? Well, it is simply because of the stereotypical mindset of the people that has changed your image from youth icon and glamorous heroine to… well leaves it! Unfortunately in Bollywood your career gets a little dicey especially of female actors unlike the West where your marital status does not affect your career.
Hichki, is a movie that revolves around a woman who wants to be a teacher who is suffering from a unique problem called Tourette syndrome, which causes sudden unusual sounds or pauses while speaking. Present day actresses like Deepika Padukone, Priyanka Chopra, Anushka Sharma, who are ruling the Box office it will be a tough competition for Rani Mukerjee. She has been rigorously promoting her movie on all the reality shows and has gone a little step ahead by visiting the spiritual Guru, Shri Shri Ravi Shankar, to learn more about the hiccups of life as the movie also deals with hiccups in one’s life.
Well, we hope Rani Mukerjee manages to break all the Box Office records with her dedication and acting skills and that her movie does not faces any Hichki on the Box office.
